Travel Tips
PREPARE FOR THE SEASON
February in South Africa's Cape Winelands brings warm, sunny days typical of the Southern Hemisphere's summer. Dress in light, airy fabrics to remain comfortable while exploring, but don't forget to pack a brimmed hat and UV-protective sunglasses to shield yourself from the midday sun. Evenings may be milder, so a light sweater or wrap could be pleasant for nighttime activities.
STAY REFRESHED
Amidst the excitement of vineyard visits and wine tasting, it's vital to stay hydrated in the warm February weather. Keep a reusable water bottle on hand to refill as you go – it's a practical choice for both your wellbeing and the environment.
SUN SAFETY IS KEY
The summer sun in the Winelands can be more intense than one might anticipate, especially in the open spaces of the vineyards. Apply a high-SPF sunscreen regularly, wear a hat, and consider light long-sleeved clothing if you'll be spending extended periods outdoors to enjoy full protection from the UV rays.
