Traveling to Spain in early April, you’ll be welcomed by the vibrant energy of spring, where mild temperatures and blooming landscapes create the perfect setting for exploration. In regions like Barcelona and the surrounding wine country, you can expect comfortable daytime weather with cooler mornings and evenings, along with the occasional light rain shower.
Dressing in layers is the best way to stay comfortable throughout the day. Opt for breathable tops, light sweaters, and a stylish jacket or trench for cooler moments. A compact umbrella or waterproof layer is a smart addition, while sunglasses are essential for bright, sun-filled afternoons. You’ll want to be both comfortable and effortlessly polished as you move from vineyard visits to city experiences.
STAY REFRESHED
From exploring scenic vineyards to strolling through lively city streets and historic neighborhoods, your days in Spain will be full and immersive. Staying hydrated is key, especially with a schedule that includes tastings and excursions. Keeping a reusable water bottle with you ensures you stay refreshed and energized throughout the day. It’s a simple, eco-conscious choice that aligns with the region’s growing focus on sustainability.
SUN SAFETY IS KEY
Even in spring, the Spanish sun can be strong, particularly in open vineyard areas and along the coast. Be sure to apply a high-SPF sunscreen daily to protect your skin. A hat provides added coverage, and lightweight layers like long-sleeved shirts offer protection without sacrificing comfort.
I have traveled the world and multiple trips to France, but this Champagne trip was my most memorable due to the wonderfully organized itinerary and our small group of travelers.

Overall better than expected and good value for all our experiences during the week trip. Raymond is such a great host, so personable and caring that people are having a great time. The selections of hotels top rated as are the dinners, lunches, wine pairings, that are pre-selected. We enjoyed the group and would recommend a Fizz trip.
